Communities
The field of human-computer interaction consists of a number of different communities of practice, which all overlap substantially.
However, the CHI conference is attended by representatives of all these communities and as well as receiving submissions from them for the conference, we want to ensure that we build a program of the widest possible appeal.
As a result, each community has a pair of co-chairs through whom submissions are made and who take a close involvement in the construction of the conference program.
